New! LA AZUCENA | Colombia | Limited Edition

from $14.00

Immerse yourself in a new coffee adventure featuring bold dark chocolate, orange, and sweet almond praline undertones— an exquisite coffee made for winter mornings!

La Azucena is a second-generation coffee grower-owned small farm, run by the Narváez-Victoria family - a young family working hard to elevate the quality of their coffee to the highest level possible, and who have garnered notable accolades, being awarded as the Best Farm in Caldas and Antioquia at the Golden Cup. The farm is situated in a prime location where the rich soil composition and wind patterns from the Pocito rivers' canyon create an ideal environment for coffee cultivation. The farm enjoys early morning sunlight, and its forestry system helps maintain optimal temperatures throughout the day, allowing them to manage the farm in a sustainable manner, without the need of chemical fertilizers.

Sourced from “A Coffee Family”, this exquisite coffee represents the passion and dedication of small farmers who strive for world-class quality as a way to transform their lives. We are especially proud to be able to offer this gem exclusively for our Ethos family within the US!

GRIND GUIDE

Coarse | French Press, Cold Brew, Moka Pot (Percolator), Chemex (and any other slow-flowing Pour-Over methods)

Medium-fine | Drip (standard or programmable coffee makers), single-cup brewers (automatic or one-cup Pour-Over dripper), Aeropress.

We always recommend grinding your coffee fresh for the absolute best experience. Pre-grinding your coffee exposes more surface area to the air, which means faster aroma loss and faster de-gassing/staling. If you must buy ground, we highly recommend placing the whole bag (including packaging) inside an airtight container, and using/opening one bag at a time if possible.

WHY LOVE “LA AZUCENA”?
Sourced from “A Coffee Family”, who is a small green coffee grower and exporter/importer committed to creating life-changing market opportunities for small coffee farming families in their region, encouraging to aim for world-class levels of quality that can command the highest prices possible. We are proud to support their efforts and being able to offer this incredible coffee to our Ethos family!

Recommendations
Incredibly well-balanced and versatile, we highly encourage you to try it on your favorite preparation method! Its sweetness, slight fruitiness, and balance truly shine in Drip/Pour-Overs, and iced brews! Also great on Cold Brew, and a good single-origin Espresso.
