C R E M A | Classic Espresso Blend

from $12.00

Our signature Espresso blend is a consistently silky, sweet, and smooth cup with delicious nutty undertones.

Its sweet nutty notes will absolutely shine on both Espresso and Drip (a wonderful morning cup). On Espresso, it is roasted to a perfect medium to pull shots with a beautiful layer of crema, and is delicious both by itself or as the ideal match for milk!

What’s in the blend?

Varietals: Mondo Novo, Yellow Catuai, Bourbon

Process: Natural, sun dried, rested for at least 30 days + traditional Washed

Origin: Cristais Paulistas, Alta Mogiana, Brazil + Comayagua, Honduras

Certifications: Rainforest Alliance certified, Alta Mogiana Specialty Coffee Association (AMSC)

🇧🇷 As founding members of Alta Mogiana Specialty Coffee Association, these farmers are leaders whose dream is to sustainably develop their region from a social and economic point of view through coffee. They’re focused on lifting others out of poverty by offering fixed wages year round, performance bonuses, and specialized and literacy training.  All children must also be enrolled full-time in school as a condition of employment, which they hope will increase the educational attainment in their region and open new opportunities for the next generation.

🇭🇳 Coming from our Honduran sourcing partners since 2022, Mtn2Sea Ministries - a non-profit devoted to help small coffee farmers escape from extreme poverty. Since the first time we met them, we have been inspired by their work and courage to help and work with some of the poorest farmers we have had the joy to support. They’re so committed to having a long-term impact that they have bought a small parcel of land in Comayagua, Honduras to be able to live and work directly with the group of dozens of small family farmers, who inhabit a secluded village 5,000 ft up in the Honduran mountains - which has no power and where homes are made of mud. By championing life-changing prices for their coffees, they help the farmers earn the income that can transform their lives. We are truly honored to champion this work and hope you’ll love this coffee so we can buy as much as we can!

GRIND GUIDE

Coarse | French Press, Cold Brew, Moka Pot (Percolator), Chemex (and any other slow-flowing Pour-Over methods)

Medium-fine | Drip (standard or programmable coffee makers), single-cup brewers (automatic or one-cup Pour-Over dripper), Aeropress.

We always recommend grinding your coffee fresh for the absolute best experience. Pre-grinding your coffee exposes more surface area to the air, which means faster aroma loss and faster de-gassing/staling. If you must buy ground, we highly recommend placing the whole bag (including packaging) inside an airtight container, and using/opening one bag at a time if possible.

WHY THIS BLEND?
We wanted to offer the most versatile, and our best-value for Espresso lovers who love to enjoy a Barista-quality crafted drink at home any day (or every day!). Crema is delightful as straight Espresso (or Americano) and also a great match for milk and milk alternatives. This creamy, complex blend becomes bliss in milk as the chocolate and nutty undertones slowly reveal themselves!
